Dilshan Madushanka became the eighth Sri Lankan bowler to claim an ODI hat-trick during a match against Zimbabwe in Harare on Friday.
Defending 10 runs off the last over, Madushanka’s hat-trick was a timely one. The left-arm pacer removed Sikandar Raza, who was batting on 92, followed it up with wickets of Brad Evans and Ngarava.
Overall, this is the 11th instance of a Sri Lankan bowler picking a hat-trick with Lasith Malinga and Chaminda Vaas taking it multiple times.
Madushanka finished with four for 62 in 10 overs. His last over heroics helped Sri Lanka beat Zimbabwe by seven runs.
