Neil Bhatt and Aishwarya Sharma’s on-screen pairing in the superhit television show, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, was loved by many. However, in 2021, they left many in shock when they announced their marriage. The couple have openly talked about how they fell in love. But more than their love story, it was their public fights on the show, Bigg Boss 17, which left many in shock. How Neil Bhatt and Aishwarya Sharma fell in love
It is worth mentioning that Neil and Aishwarya did a mock shoot when the former fell in love with her. He started to develop feelings for her, and he discussed this with her mother, who conducted a thorough Google search on Aishwarya to learn about her interests. On the other hand, Aishwarya revealed that Neil was the one who started giving her hints, and in the process, she also fell in love with him.
However, Aishwarya wanted to clarify their feelings and whether it was mutual. So, when she asked him out, he said ‘no’; his reason was that they should concentrate on their career and not look for a temporary relationship. He was sure that they should see the response of the show, and then look forward to their personal dynamics.
When Neil asked Aishwarya’s hand for marriage
Aishwarya took the confrontation as a ‘no’ from Neil’s side. However, Neil revealed that he was the one who directly asked for Aishwarya’s hand. He always wanted to be outside of the show. Talking about it in an interview with IDiva, Neil said:
“I also, kind of, directly asked her for marriage, and the date was October 18th, 2020. We were working on a show… a romantic show and the beginning of our characters, Virat and Pakhi, was in a very romantic zone. So, yes, we got to spend a lot of time together on the set but it was never because of that. It was always in our minds that anything that happens between us has to be beyond the show. That was the first conversation that we had once we confessed our feelings to each other.”

For the unversed, Neil and Aishwarya fell in love while working on the sets of their television show, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. In the show, Neil played the protagonist ‘Virat Chavan’ and Aishwarya played ‘Pakhi’. The couple got married in 2021 in a traditional Rajasthani ceremony in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. In an earlier interview with Pinkvilla, Aishwarya talked about the anxiety she had finalising her traditional Rajashtani wedding lehenga. She said:
“My time was wasted. My wedding date was approaching. I got anxious because I didn’t have an outfit. “While I was trying the outfit, my blood pressure dropped. I got anxious and realized that I might faint. I rushed to the kitchen and the moment I ate sugar, I fell down in the kitchen. I hit the fridge and fell.”
Aishwarya and Neil’s ugly fights in Bigg Boss 17
Aishwarya and Neil entered the reality show Bigg Boss 17 as a couple. However, in the show, the differences between them were clearly shown. They even had an ugly spat. It so happened that the couple, along with Ankita and Isha, were managing the grocery work. When Aishwarya handed a bag to Neil, he couldn’t take it as his hands were already full. To this, the actress asked him, “You can’t see when I am saying something.” However, Aishwarya’s tone didn’t go well with Neil, who angrily said, “Can’t you see my hands are full?”
Salman Khan also called their relationship a formula for disaster. He bashed Aishwarya for talking in a crass way with her husband, Neil, in front of so many cameras. He lashed out at her and said:
“Aye chal, tu chal. Aishwarya aap Neil ko uss mukaam tak leke jaana chah rahi ho, ke ye aye! ye kare? Kitna patience aap iska try karogi? Jo disrespect aap Neil ka saath karti hai that is not ok. Ye baara hi toxic relationship banne wala hai. This is the one and only formula for disaster.”
Aishwarya and Neil’s separation buzz
For quite some time buzz of Aishwarya and Neil’s separation has been going on. It all started after Aishwarya was seen searching for a place, and there were strong reports that claimed the two have started living separately and heading for divorce. However, to end th buzz, Aishwarya penned a strong note, and wrote:
“I have been silent for a long time. Not because I am weak but because I have been protecting my peace. But the way some of you continue to write things I have never said, build narratives I have never endorsed and use my name for your own publicity without facts or accountability is deeply painful.”
