The United Arab Emirates and Afghanistan will face off in the last league stage match of the ongoing T20 Tri-Series at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday.

Afghanistan and Pakistan have already qualified for the final, scheduled for September 7, and the UAE can only hope for a consolation victory after losing all its three previous matches in the series.

However, with the Asia Cup beginning next week, both teams will want to get as much out of this game as possible in terms of match practice. The UAE suffered a 38-run defeat in its previous encounter against the Afghans in the series, and it will want to make amends.
