Southern Brave vs Northern Superchargers
Northern Superchargers ended Southern Brave’s perfect record after Graham Clark hit a final-ball six against Tymal Mills. Laurie Evans’ 53 and James Coles’ 49 had helped Brave recover from 26 for three to post 139, but multiple Superchargers batters made useful contributions before Clark’s last-ball heroics gave the team a three-wicket win.
Welsh Fire vs Manchester Originals
Welsh Fire broke its duck when it defeated Manchester Originals by 25 runs. Fire posted 137 courtesy of cameos across the batting order, before Riley Meredith took 4/9 to lead an impressive Fire bowling performance as Originals fell short. Jos Buttler scored 57, but no other Originals batter was able to cross 25.
London Spirit vs Trent Rockets
Jamie Smith and Kane Williamson’s rapid partnership of 73 helped London Spirit post 162 against Trent Rockets. Tom Banton and Marcus Stoinis scored quickly in the Rockets chase, but it ran out of steam and lost quick wickets to fall 21 runs short and become the last team to lose a match.
Northern Superchargers vs Birmingham Phoenix
Northern Superchargers piled on the runs against Birmingham Phoenix as it posted 193 in a 36-run victory. Zak Crawley and Dawid Malan gave it initial ballast, before Harry Brook’s unbeaten 31 put the finishing touches on the innings. Jacob Bethell and Liam Livingstone chased valiantly for Phoenix, but it ultimately fell short of the target.
Southern Brave vs Trent Rockets
Southern Brave suffered back-to-back defeats after injury replacement Tom Moores scored a rapid 55. Southpaw Leus du Plooy helped Brave put up 140, but Moores and Tom Banton rescued Rockets from 60 for four to seal a four-wicket win.
Oval Invincibles vs Welsh Fire
Jordan Cox blasted an unbeaten 86 from 29 deliveries as Oval Invincibles posted 226, the highest total in the history of The Hundred, against Welsh Fire. Will Jacks, Tawanda Muyeye, Sam Curran, and Donovan Ferreira also made significant contributions as Invincibles racked up a mammoth total. Jonny Bairstow scored a valiant 50 in the chase, but the target was too much for Fire, which fell 83 runs short.
