Domestic equity benchmarks rose around half a per cent each on Tuesday, with energy and auto shares leading the gains. The Sensex rose 370.6 points, or 0.5 per cent, to end at 81,644.4, while the Nifty 50 added 103.7 points, or 0.4 per cent, to settle at 24,980.7. With that, the market extended its winning streak to a fourth straight trading session.

Corporate earnings
With the results season in its final leg, only a few companies are scheduled to report their quarterly numbers on Wednesday, including Shanti Gold.
Aditya Infotech and GNG Electronics have reported strong results for the June quarter, each registering a jump of around 50 per cent in net profit.
Inox Wind
A rights issue by the company is set to conclude on August 20.
Currently, Inox Wind’s Rs 1,249-crore rights issue is open at Rs 120.
Vedanta
Market regulator SEBI is set to conduct a compliance review for Vedanta’s proposed demerger.
The Oil Ministry had raised objections to the demerger during a hearing before the Mumbai bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in July.

The Philippines Coast Guard requires 20 new NGOPVs, and the total deal value is estimated at around Rs 5,500 crore, the sources added.
