Deceased actor Shefali Jariwala’s body has been sent for post-mortem by the Mumbai police after she was found dead at her residence in the Andheri area, said the cops.
Contradictory to media reports stating that the Bigg Boss fame actor suffered a cardiac arrest and was rushed to hospital by her husband, the Mumbai police said her body was found at her residence.
The police said they received information about the incident at 1 am after which her body was sent to Cooper Hospital for post-mortem examination, adding that the cause of death is not yet clear.

“Her body was found at her residence in Andheri area. Mumbai Police received information about this at 1 am. Her body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for postmortem. The cause of death is not yet clear,” the Mumbai police said, reported ANI.
As per media reports, the 42-year-old actor suffered cardiac arrest on the intervening night of June 27 and 28 and was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital by her husband and three others.

However, she was declared dead after efforts to revive her.
The ‘Kaanta Laga Girl’, a nickname she got after her appearance in the chart-topping 2002 remix ‘Kaanta Laga’ is survived by her husband Parag Tyagi. The two tied the nuptial knot in 2014.
Earlier, she was married to musician Harmeet Singh of the Meet Bros duo. The couple got married in 2004 but parted ways in 2009 after five years of marriage.
