Nepal to host ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Qualifier

Nepal has been named the host for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Qualifier, scheduled to take place from January 12 to February 16 next year.

Ten teams will compete for four spots at the main event, which is set to be held in England and Wales later that year.

Bangladesh and Ireland have secured direct entry into the Qualifier by virtue of their participation in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. Thailand and Nepal earned their places through the Asia regional pathway, while the USA qualified from the Americas region.

The remaining five berths will be decided through regional Qualifiers — with two teams each from Africa and Europe, and one from the East Asia-Pacific region joining the lineup.

The tournament in Nepal will feature two groups of five teams, followed by a Super Six stage and a final. The complete fixture list will be announced in due course.

Meanwhile, the schedule for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 has already been confirmed. The showpiece event will run from June 12 to July 5 2026, featuring 33 matches across 24 days at seven venues, including Old Trafford, Headingley, the Hampshire Bowl, and the Bristol County Ground. The final will be played at Lord’s.
