Kolkata Police Forms 5-Member SIT To Probe Law College Gang-Rape Case


Kolkata Police has formed a five-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the alleged gang-rape of a 24-year-old law college student.

The SIT has been formed under the supervision of ACP Pradip Kumar Ghosal, SSD, news agency ANI reported.

The three accused, Manojit Mishra, Zaib Ahmed, and Pramit Mukhopadhyay, have been remanded to police custody till July 1. Kolkata Police on Saturday arrested the security guard of the college, taking the total number of arrests in the case to four.
