IRCTC Q1 Results: Profit rises 7.5% to Rs 331 crore; revenue grows 4% YoY

IRCTC Q1 Results: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) on Wednesday reported a 7.5 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase in its consolidated net profit from continuing operations, which stood at Rs 331 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2025 (Q1 FY26). This compares with Rs 308 crore posted in the same quarter last year.

The company’s revenue from operations also saw a modest uptick, rising 4 per cent YoY to Rs 1,160 crore, as compared to Rs 1,115 crore reported in Q1 FY25.

The growth in profit indicates operational stability despite a relatively subdued revenue rise. The company has continued to benefit from its diversified business verticals, including catering, rail tourism, and packaged drinking water under the ‘Rail Neer’ brand.

IRCTC, which enjoys a near-monopoly in several of its service segments due to its association with Indian Railways, has been a consistent performer in the PSU space. The Q1 numbers suggest that while top-line growth was modest, efficiency gains and cost controls may have supported the bottom line.

IRCTC shares closed at Rs 728.90 up by 1.16 per cent higher on Wednesday.
