Narzary completes loan move to Diamond Harbor FC
Bengaluru FC confirmed Sunday that winger Halicharan Narzary has completed a loan move to Diamond Harbour FC.
Narzary is a seasoned professional, having played for clubs like NorthEast United FC and Hyderabad FC in the Indian Super League.
Diamond Harbour won the I-League 2 last season, allowing the club to gain promotion to the I-League for the 25-26 season.

Aryan, Likhith fail to progress at World Aquatics Championships
Indian swimmer Aryan Nehra fell short of qualifying for the final, while S.P. Likhith failed to make the semifinals in their respective events at the World Aquatics Championships here on Sunday.
Nehra, competing in the men’s 400m freestyle, finished seventh in his heat and 37th overall with a time of 4:00.39s. The top eight swimmers advanced to the final. Australia’s Samuel Short went fastest in the heats, clocking 3:42.07s.
Likhith, on the other hand, clocked 1:01.99s to finish 40th overall in the men’s 100m breaststroke event. The top-16 qualified for the semifinals. Turkey’s Nusrat Allahverdi touched the pad at 1:01.11s to be the fastest swimmer in the heats.

Diksha moves to 48th in Scotland
Indian golfer Diksha Dagar improved slightly in the third round of the 2025 ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open as she moved up 11 spots to tied-48th on day 3 at the Dundonald Links.
The 24-year-old winner of two Ladies European Tour titles, who was tied-59th on day 2, had two birdies and a bogey, all in the first six holes.
Diksha birdied the third and the sixth holes and dropped her only shot on the fifth. She parred her last 12 holes as she compiled 1-under 71 on a day when the weather was good and there was no breeze. She had shot 69 and 76 in the first two rounds.
The other two Indians, Pranavi Urs and Tvesa Malik, had earlier missed the cut.

Atwal top Indian at Senior Open, Jyoti and Jeev trail
Arjun Atwal emerged as the top Indian after three rounds as he was 1-under 69 and was tied 29h in the ISPS HANDA Senior Open.
Atwal, playing only his second event on the Seniors Tour – both Majors – followed up his first two rounds of 67-72 with 69 and was 2-under through 54 holes.
Jyoti Randhawa (70-71-70) was 1-over and T-50th, while Jeev Milkha Singh (71-69-74) was 5-over and T-69. There is one more round left.

World Squash Junior Championship: Both Indian teams kick off campaign with wins
India’s men’s team beat South Africa 3-0 while the women’s team eased past Ireland 3-0 to begin their respective group stage campaigns in the Word Squash Junior Championship team events.
All the three girls — Anahat Singh, Anika Dubey, and Unnati Tripathi — played well and won their matches comfortably. They used their control and shot variations to beat the Irish.
The three boys — Arihant KS, Sandhesh PR, Yusha Nafees — faced some resistance from the South African players but the Indians held on to secure a win in the fixture.

India loses to Italy in IC Rod Laver Junior challenge
The Indian team was beaten 4-2 by Italy in the opening match of the IC Rod Laver Junior Challenge tennis event in Barcelona, Spain.
Aradhya Kshitij and Samarth Sahita won their singles matches. The Indian girls, Saanvi Mishra, coming in place of an injured Maaya Rajeshwaran, and Rishitha Basireddy lost their singles matches in straight sets.
Thereafter, India lost both the boys doubles and girls doubles matches.
The boys doubles was lost 6-10 in the super tie-break, and the captain Vikram Anand felt that a victory would have helped India fight further in the mixed doubles that is played only in case of a 3-3 score.
With six teams in the fray, India has been scheduled to play South Africa, Spain, Argentina and Mexico in that order for the remaining round-robin league matches.

Aryan Shah loses semifinals
Aryan Shah went down fighting 5-7, 6-2, 3-6 to Nicolas Varona of Spain in the semifinals of the €91,250 Challenger tennis tournament in Segovia, Spain.
The 19-year-old Aryan won 22 ATP points and €4,550.
In the $100,000 ITF women’s event in Evansville, USA, Prarthana Thombare made the doubles final with Arianne Hartono.

Shreyas Iyer unveils SoBo Mumbai Falcons Yoddhas Jersey, flags off 13 player contracts
India international Shreyas Iyer unveiled the official jersey of SoBo Mumbai Falcons Yoddhas for upcoming Pro Govinda League Season 3.
The Mumbai Falcons reached the T20 Mumbai League finals earlier this year.
Shreyas, who recently led his team to the IPL final, presented the first player contract to members of the Mumbai Falcons’ Club and Corporate team, as part of a first-of-its-kind official contract ceremony.
“I’m proud to be associated with the Mumbai Falcons. This isn’t just about sport — it’s about identity, teamwork, and creating pathways for those who give their all,” said Shreyas Iyer.
The day’s larger highlight was the announcement of 13 official player contracts.
