IND vs ENG Highlights, 5th Test Day 3: ENG 50/1; Siraj removes Crawley to cap strong day for India

What a lift for India to end the day! It came into the day looking to put itself in a strong position to win the match, and it is now.

The batting innings was anchored by a patient century by Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was part of a gritty partnership with Akash Deep in the morning session to add over 100. Akash fell before lunch, and the rest of the batters chipped in to add to the total before Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar added a final flourish as India set England a total of 374 to win.

In response, Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley started well, soaking up pressure and putting on a half-century stand. However, with the close of play in sight, Siraj produced a searing yorker to remove Crawley, and cap a fantastic day for India.

The equation leaves England needing 324 runs to win tomorrow, while India needs another eight wickets for victory.
