The Ministry of Finance on Monday (August 18) announced a temporary exemption on customs duty and Agriculture Infrastructure and Development Cess (AIDC) on cotton imports.

According to the ministry, the exemption is applicable on raw cotton and will take effect from Tuesday (August 19) and will remain valid until September 30, 2025.
