Government launches ‘FTI- TTP’ for Indian passport and OCI holders

The government has officially launched the Fast Track Immigration Trusted Traveller Program (FTI-TTP), aimed at streamlining immigration procedures for Indian passport holders and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders. This initiative promises a faster, hassle-free immigration experience through the use of automated e-gates.

As part of the program, eligible travellers can now register online at www.ftittp.mha.gov.in.

Once enrolled, passengers can bypass long queues and complete immigration formalities in just 30 seconds — completely free of cost.

On January 16, 2025, Union Minister Amit Shah formally inaugurated the program at seven additional airports from Ahmedabad, marking a milestone in the government’s efforts to provide world-class immigration services under the ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’ vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The government initially launched the FTI-TTP program on June 22, 2024, at Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI), New Delhi, and is rolling it out across 21 major airports nationwide.

In the first phase of implementation, the facility is already operational at Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Ahmedabad, in addition to Delhi.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, TTP registration remains valid until the passport expires or for a maximum of five years, whichever comes first and it must be renewed after this period.
