Speaking to Tellychakkar, TMKOC’s ‘Gogi’, a.k.a. Samay Shah, addressed the buzz surrounding ‘Jethalal’ and ‘Babita’s’ exit from the sitcom. For the unversed, the speculations began when fans noticed the absence of Dilip a.k.a ‘Jethalal’ and Munmun a.k.a ‘Babita’ from the present track in the show. However, ‘Gogi’s’ statement regarding the actor’s exit is nothing more than good news for the TMKOC fans. Sharing his opinion, Samay said:
“I don’t think they’re leaving. These are all rumours.”
What is the truth behind ‘Jethalal’ and ‘Babita Ji’s’ absence from the current plotline?
According to the current plotline in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, ‘Jethalal’ is on a business trip with his associates. For the uninitiated, ‘Jethalal’ is the owner of Gada Electronics and has two helpers, ‘Nattu Kaka’ and ‘Bagha’. On the other side, ‘Babita’ and ‘Iyer’ are reportedly on vacation in Mahabaleshwar. In fact, as per a report by ABP, the show’s production house has confirmed that Munmun Dutta, who plays ‘Babita’, is still part of the show.

The makers of TMKOC has revived the most-loved ‘Bhootni’ track. In the current plotline, the members of Gokuldham Society have gone to a holiday home that is haunted. However, the residents of the society are still not aware that the place is eerie. The trip was organised by ‘Taarak Mehta’s’ boss, and it is he who knows the whole truth and wants the members of the society to investigate the matter. Taarak’s boss first presented the proposal to ‘Taarak’ and offered him the opportunity to go on a trip with his wife, ‘Anjali’. But it was ‘Taarak’ who wanted to go to the holiday home along with the other members of his society.
In current episodes, it has been disclosed that ‘Atmaram Tukaram Bhide’ has spotted a chhaya and has already crossed paths with the ghost character, ‘Chakori’. On the other hand, ‘Popatlal’, another member of Gokuldham, is eager to start a relationship with the beautiful woman, ‘Chakori’, but little does he know that she is not a human being but a ghost. While the current track is filled with spooky matters, the upcoming episode will reveal whether the holiday home is an eerie place or if there are some goons behind these supernatural activities, executing their mischievous tasks.
