Tim David recorded the fastest T20I century by an Australian during his team’s six wicket victory over West Indies at Basseterre on Friday.
The 29-year-old’s 37-ball hundred bettered Josh Inglis’ effort from 2024 off just 43 balls against Scotland.
David’s unbeaten knock of 102 (6×4, 11×6) is the joint-ninth fastest hundred overall in T20Is and the joint-second fastest among full member nations.

He also broke Australia’s fastest fifty record previously set by both Marcus Stoinis and Travis Head (17 balls), when he reached the mark in 16 deliveries.
