England has announced that 22-year-old fast bowler Sonny Baker will make his England debut in the first of England’s three ODIs against South Africa at Headingley on Tuesday.
Baker, who plays for Hampshire in domestic cricket, was in fine form for Manchester Originals in the recently concluded edition of The Hundred. He took nine wickets in seven matches at an economy of 7.68. Baker has also impressed while playing for England Lions.
He has also featured in 11 List A matches claiming 19 wickets.

Baker will join an English bowling attack that also features Jofra Archer, Brydon Carse, and Adil Rashid as England enters its second ODI series under Harry Brook’s captaincy.
