Nightwatchman Akash Deep registered his maiden Test half-century during the third day of the fifth Test between England and India at the Oval in London on Saturday.

He reached his fifty off 70 balls with a four off pace bowler Gus Atkinson in the 38th over of India’s second innings. In fact, his last three scoring shots leading up to the half-century were all fours.
