North Zone and Jammu & Kashmir pacer Auqib Nabi took a hat-trick against East Zone during the Duleep Trophy 2025 match in Bengaluru on Friday.

He has become only the third bowler to take a hat-trick in a Duleep Trophy game after Kapil Dev (for North Zone vs West Zone, 1978-79) and Sairaj Bahutule (West Zone vs East Zone, 2001).

Nabi removed Virat Singh, Manishi, and Mukhtar Hussain to complete the hat-trick.

He got Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal on the first ball of the next over to claim four wickets in four balls, becoming only the fourth Indian to achieve this feat.

The 28-year-old then removed Mohammed Shami to finish the innings with five for 28.
