Dewald Brevis becomes youngest South Africa batter to score a T20I hundred


Dewald Brevis wrote his name into the record books after becoming the youngest South African batter to score a T20I century during the 2nd T20I against Australia in Darwin on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old batter remained unbeaten on 125 off 56 balls to propel the Proteas to 218 for seven at the end of their innings.

The Chennai Super Kings recruit eclipsed the record held by Richard Levi who scored a T20I hundred at 24 years of age.

The middle-order batter’s 41-ball hundred was also the second-fastest three-figure knock by a South African, just behind David Miller who scored one in just 35 balls.
