The Administration calls upon every citizen to hoist national flags at their homes from August 13 to 15, symbolising unity, national pride, and the shared spirit of independence.

UT Administrator and Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria said, “Har Ghar Tiranga is not just a celebration, it is a call to every citizen to embrace our national identity with pride. Let every home in Chandigarh reflect the spirit of unity and patriotism as we pay tribute to our Tricolour. I urge all residents, institutions, and the youth to participate in this initiative and make it a grand success.”

“In alignment with the national movement under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the campaign aims to inspire every citizen, fostering a sense of collective pride, national unity, and emotional attachment to the Tricolour. Far beyond a symbolic gesture, it is designed to rekindle awareness about the significance of the Tiranga, the sacrifices made by freedom fighters, and the values enshrined in our Constitution. Citizens, including schoolchildren, government employees, institutions, and community groups, are being encouraged to participate actively through ceremonies, creative initiatives, and digital engagement,” the UT Administration said in a statement issued here.
