Stocks to Track Today (June 25): Infosys, BSE, IndiGo, V-Mart, Aegis Logistics & more


Share Market News, Stocks to Track: Domestic equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty gave up much of their strong intraday gains in a volatile session on Tuesday. The Sensex finished the day with a gain of 158.3 points, or 0.2 per cent, at 82,055.1 while the Nifty was up 72.5 points, or 0.3 per cent, at 25,044.4.

As market participants await the next session on Dalal Street, here are a few stocks set to be in focus during the next trading day, on June 25:

Corporate action

Three stocks are set to trade ex-dividend at the opening bell on Wednesday: Automobile Corporation of Goa, Aegis Logistics and Quest Capital Markets. At the same time, the Elitecon International stock will trade ex-share split. 

Vodafone Idea

The telecom company has denied media records suggesting that the government is mulling an adjusted gross revenue-related relief for it. 

Vodafone Idea said it has received no such communication from the government.

Union Bank of India, Can Fin Homes board meetings 

The companies’ boards are set to meet on Wednesday to consider their respective fund-raising plans. 

V-Mart Retail

The company is set to list its bonus shares amounting to Rs 5.95 crore.

Timex Group India 

Timex Group India promoter Timex Friup Luxury Watches BV is set to offload up to 15 per cent in the company through an offer for sale (OFS) at a floor price of Rs 175 per share, a 33.8 per cent discount to the market price. 

Hindalco

The metal mining company is set to acquire US-based AluChem Companies through its subsidiary Aditya Holdings for an acquisition cost of Rs 1,075 crore. AluChem operates in the specialty alumina and alumina products space and the acquisition is aimed at expanding Hindalco’s global footprint. The deal is set to be completed in the next 2-4 months.

Airline stocks

IndiGo and SpiceJet shares are set to be in focus on Wednesday.

IndiGo and SpiceJet’s market shares changed from 64.1 per cent to 64.6 per cent and from 2.6 per cent to 2.4 per cent sequentially in May, according to data released on Tuesday.

Bajel Projects

The company has secured a major EPC order, worth Rs 100-200 crore, for a substation from a private client. 

Aurobindo Pharma

The drug maker has received a marketing authorisation from the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency for a drug used to reduce infection risk in chemotherapy patients.

JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals

The company has received the US drug regulator’s approval for a medicine used in the treatment of depression symptoms.

Infosys

The IT major has entered a strategic partnership with Zoetis to enhance the animal health company’s digital capabilities. 

BSE, CDSL

Capital market regulator SEBI has proposed new governance norms for market institutions like NSE, BSE and CDSL.
