India lost its 15th consecutive toss in men’s international cricket ahead of the start of the fifth Test match against England at the Oval in London on Thursday.
England stand-in skipper Ollie Pope won the toss and opted to bowl as Shubman Gill lost his fifth consecutive toss in the ongoing series. The newly appointed Indian Test skipper is yet to win a toss as India captain.
The last time the Indian men’s cricket team won a toss in international cricket was back in January this year, under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav during a T20I against England at Rajkot.
India’s wretched luck at the toss includes two T20Is, eight ODIs and five Test matches.
