The sportspersons of Uttar Pradesh Police won highest number of medals for India at the World Police and Fire Games 2025, held in Alabama, US.
The event saw participation from thousands of police and fire service personnel from across the world. A total of 63 countries took part in the tournament.
India secured the third position in the medal tally with 560 medals across various events.
The Uttar Pradesh Police won a total of 95 medals, including 45 gold, 34 silver, and 16 bronze in athletics, wrestling, shooting, weightlifting, and swimming, among others.
Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Krishna congratulated all the medal winners for bringing immense honour to the department and the state.
