While Ekta recently attended ET NOW Family Business Excellence Summit & Awards 2025 where she said, “This journey has been a roller coaster – you never really know what’s around the next turn. But as long as the ride isn’t over, the ups and downs are simply part of the experience. We’ve been evolving through a hybrid business model, with different streams curating different kinds of content. As for the next big thing, we’ll only truly recognize it when we get there. It might surprise us; it could be something as unexpected as a micro-drama.”
Ekta added, “What drives us is the intent to treat everything we create as if it’s the next big thing, because you never know what might truly resonate. Legacy shouldn’t be tied to bloodline. It’s a path meant to be earned and carried forward by those who are truly deserving. Partnering with creators who are better than me has been key. I’ve often found myself in rooms with people far more experienced and insightful and that’s been invaluable. It’s what has helped us navigate challenges and translate opportunities into real, sustainable growth.”
On the work front, Ekta Kapoor has two upcoming films in the pipeline — VVAN, her first collaboration with TVF, featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, and Bhooth Bangla, which reunites the hit duo Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar. She has also announced the revival of her popular show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, sparking excitement among fans around the world.
